


Claire Cullen
Head of Research and Innovation
Claire has helped grow Youth Impact’s rapid experimentation approach, building systems for iterative testing and learning at scale. She has led or supported research across Botswana, Nepal, India, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Philippines, Uganda, South Africa, and Afghanistan. Before joining Youth Impact, Claire was a Research Fellow at Oxford University’s Centre for the Study of African Economies and held roles at the World Bank, UNICEF, and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. She has supported large-scale research and policy initiatives in low- and middle-income countries, with a focus on education, gender, and health. Claire holds a PhD from the University of Oxford, and previously studied at Georgetown University, the University of Sydney, and the Australian National University. She is also a research affiliate at Oxford University’s What Works Hub for Global Education.
